Funded Project

St Helens Creatives Development Programme

Gee Collins and Claire Weetman, two freelance artists who are part of Platform Studios have been awarded the contract for the above programme from St Helens Council's Arts Service.

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority and part funded through Arts Council England. We will work in partnership with St Helens Borough Council, Kindred LCR CIC, St Helens College, and St Helens Borough creative practitioners from December 2024 to March 2025.

The project will include:

Research Artists Studio Space, its affordability and the models these can take to inform a report to St Helens Council in March 2025

Equipment: research what equipment artists of all disciplines need access to in St Helens to inform the purchase of equipment by St Helens Council Arts Service and best practice models to ensure access to this resource in future.

Resource Directory: find out  what information or knowledge artists need when developing creative projects and contribute to this forming part of the Live Well Directory.

Support St Helens based creatives to put on their own creative events at the new Street and a Half (SnA) space in St Helens Town Centre

How to get involved
